Tube Setting

Click to enlarge With Joe & Anat Silvera Learn to make bezels for tiny stones out of tubing! Add tube settings to anything: earrings, necklaces, bracelets – wherever you want a bit of gorgeous, colorful sparkle for your jewelry. Matching your stones and tubing, fabricating your settings and proper use of power tools like Dremels and Flex Shafts, will be covered. Practice making settings, soldering and setting your stones during class to make a pendant with three settings. Thursday, July 8th 2010 9am-5pm (with a two-hour break) Level: Intermediate: Beginning Soldering class or equivalent skill with soldering sterling is required. Students may bring their own Dremel or Flex Shaft, if they like. (Dremels should be 10-speed, preferably with a cord, flex shaft and Dremel Chuck Accessory.
